During this workshop you will have the opportunity to make 4 x fused glass panels to replace the existing plain glass panels. You will be able to create your own unique fused glass panels using a selection of different glass pieces that will be glued onto the panel then fired in the kiln to fuse the glass in place. You will have access to the following glass pieces

Sheet glass, Frit (crushed glass), stringers and noodles (thin strips of glass) vitragraph stringers (strips of organic shaped glass) and premixed enamel Paints (to create surface detail).

The workshop will start with demonstration on how to cut the  glass and how to apply all the other glass pieces to the panels, then you will have up to a further 2 and a half hours to make your 4 x panels in readiness for firing. The panels can be made to a themed design or just an organic freestyle design.

This workshop is aimed at adult students only at there will be glass cutting involved. The will be a maximum of 4 students per session and there will be 2 x workshops per day. The cost will be £95.00 per person and this will include all materials (including an IKEA designed White lantern unit) , use of equipment, all tuition, all firings and the installation of the panels into your completed lantern
